Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Countsy ("the app", "we", "us"), a countdown app operated by Codexia. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What Countsy Does

Countsy lets you create countdowns to upcoming events, personalize them with photos, colors and fonts, show them in home screen and lock screen widgets, set reminders, organize them into categories, share them with others, and — with Premium — back them up to the cloud and restore them. Some features are free and others require Premium.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Countsy. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should use the app only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

3. Free Version & Premium

  • The free version lets you create one countdown and shows ads.
  • Premium unlocks unlimited countdowns, all fonts and font colors, cloud backup & restore, and removes ads.
  • If Premium ends, your countdowns are not deleted, but countdowns beyond the free allowance are locked until you upgrade again.
  • We may change which features are free or Premium in future versions of the app.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Premium is offered as auto-renewable monthly or yearly subscriptions, and as a one-time lifetime purchase. A free trial may be offered to new subscribers on some plans; if you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not process or store your payment information.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • You can restore previous purchases from the app's Premium screen. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
  • Prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by country.

5. Your Content

You own the countdowns, text and photos you add to Countsy. You grant us only the limited right to store and process them to provide the features you use — for example, to keep your cloud backup or to make a countdown you share via an invite link available to the people you send it to — as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to use any photo you add, and for what you choose to share.

6. Backup & Sharing

  • Cloud backups are made when you request them. We work to keep backups available, but we do not guarantee that a backup will always be available or complete; keep important information elsewhere too.
  • Anyone who receives an invite link can view the shared countdown and its photo. Invite links expire after a limited time.

7. Reminders & Widgets

Reminders and widgets rely on your device's notification and widget systems. Their timing and refresh are controlled by iOS and your settings (such as Focus modes), so we cannot guarantee that every reminder will be delivered or that a widget will update at an exact moment. Do not rely on Countsy as your only reminder for critical deadlines.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app;
  • Share content through Countsy that is illegal, hateful, harassing, or that infringes the rights of others;
  • Abuse or attempt to circumvent subscription mechanisms, usage limits, or trial offers;
  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose.

9. Intellectual Property

The app's design, code, artwork, and trademarks are owned by or licensed to the operator. Fonts and graphics included in the app are used under their respective licenses. You may not reproduce or distribute them without prior written consent.

10. Third-Party Services

Countsy relies on third-party services including Google Firebase, Google AdMob, RevenueCat and Apple. Your use of the app is also subject to their respective terms and policies.

11. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

  • The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including missed reminders or lost countdown data.
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may stop using Countsy at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, illegal activity, or abuse of the service.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence apply.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
